The Story
After twenty years apart, Emma tracks Ulysses to a trailer park in the middle of nowhere for a final reckoning. What unfolds is a visceral and profound meditation on love and loss with the simplest of theatrical elements: two people in one room. Jenny Shaheen and Tom Ammon star in this breathtaking story about the longevity of love.

The Cast

Jenny Shaheen is excited to be back on stage working with such a generous actor as Tom, as well as the opportunity to be directed by her talented, and visionary, husband Dana. Typically found in the Producer or Director's chair over the last several years, this is a welcome break and she thanks Wine Country Theatre for the awesome collaboration.  She was recently seen as Fantine in Chameleon Production's Les Miserables in 2013 at the Clark Center for the Performing Arts in Arroyo Grande. Other roles include; West Side Story (Anita/Rosalia), Oklahoma (Ado Annie), Show Boat (Julie Dozier) Pismo Light Opera Theatre. Sweeney Todd (Mrs. Lovett), Cabaret (Sally Bowles) Chameleon Productions.
Side Man (Terry), Other Desert Cities (Silda Grauman) SLORep Theatre/Ubu's Other Shoe.  By day, Jenny is a local Realtor at Better Home & Gardens/Haven Properties where she's honored to help buyers and sellers find their way home on the Central Coast.  Never to be forgotten is her pride and joy in her large, loud and always supportive family; this one's for Steve.

TOM AMMON as Ulysses
Tom Ammon is so happy to have the privilege and pleasure of working with Jenny and Dana Shaheen here at Wine Country Theatre, where he was seen last year as Candy in Of Mice and Men. At SLO REP, Tom has appeared in Our Town (Stage Manager), Tuesdays with Morrie (Morrie), Picasso at the Lapin Agile (Gaston), Proof (Robert), Incorruptible (Martin) and The Gin Game (Weller). Also on the central coast: (Nat Gosling) A Four-Legged Fortune (The Great American Melodrama); Ash Upson / The Authentic Life of Billy the Kid (The Spot); Williamson / Glengarry Glen Ross (The Spot, Bent Angel Productions), Ferapont / Three Sisters (PCPA), Big Daddy / Cat on a
Hot Tin Roof (Sorcerer Productions). Other favorite roles, in the San Francisco bay area, include Roy Cohn in Angels in America Part I, Alan Turing in Breaking the Code and George in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf. As always, thank you and all my love to my husband, Gary.

You may have seen him at Central Coast Urgent Care as a Physician’s Assistant. Though he loves practicing medicine, his passion has always been in, on and around the performing arts. Mr. Shaheen has directed over 20 productions in the last 30 years. He tends toward the large-scale musicals like Into the Woods, Guys and Dolls, Les Misérables, Jekyll & Hyde. However, with this show he has realized the freedom of having a cast of two, a unit set, and a production with little to no costumes. Annapurna provides a different type of focus. Having the opportunity to work with such talented actors as Tom Ammon and Jenny Shaheen has been a blessing on so many levels.
